Earlier in December I attended the Dressage through the levels symposium, at Donida Farm as a vendor. We were able to set up our booths in the stalls. I have to say, my work really looks lovely against worn wooden panels. They fit so well and there was a great response to my work. Very fun! Thank you Donida Farms!
A new painting is underway. The "five horses" is oil encaustic on a panel which is 24" x 48" 2" in size. At our barn there is a field of youngsters who come to the gate and get pushy about who is going to be pet. They are all under the age of three. Their playful gosling for attention always makes me laugh. The painting is from a sketch, seen below. Then put onto the panel. I'm trying not to get caught up in much detail, and let the painting to be playful and free.. we will see how I do with that intention.
