Mud Bay is inspired by the southernmost edge of Puget Sound, where the shoreline opens into wide water and the landscape settles into quiet stillness. I wanted to capture the feeling of space and calm evergreens lit by shifting light, reflections moving gently across the surface, and the peaceful rhythm of the tide. Painted in acrylic mixed media with layered marks and soft transitions, this piece invites a sense of clarity, breath, and connection to place.
